2020 has been a very untraditional year to say the least. Despite all the challenges this year has brought, all of us here at SmartRent are proud to say we have achieved some major milestones. From raising $60 million in series C funding, to debuting our newly redesigned website and adding several new solutions and integrations , 2020 has been a year of growth and expansion.
Installations
While we did have to pause installations during 2020, we are now back and better than ever. We have completed close to 150,000 installations with 483,637 smart home devices, adding smart home technology to multifamily communities across 14 new states as well as adding to our existing portfolio.
Integrations
We’ve introduced 25 new partnerships and integrations with companies such as Funnel , Knock and Engrain. As well as, strategic partnerships with Ring and Amazon, all with the goal to create a stronger, more powerful smart home platform for multifamily communities and their residents.
Self-Guided Tours
Self-guided tours have expanded exponentially this year. The pandemic has exacerbated the need for unattended showings, leading to almost 200,000 self-guided tours completed. We look forward to onboarding even more new clients with self-guided tours software in 2021.
Leak Detection
Asset protection has and will continue to be a vital piece of the multifamily industry. We have seen just how valuable leak detection hardware can be in preventing extensive damage and costly repairs. In 2020, our software helped to detect 2,308 leaks, avoiding damage to 5,068 floors, preventing thousands of dollars in damage to multifamily properties across the nation.
New Solutions and Company Growth
We have also added a few new smart home solutions to the SmartRent platform. Smart Parking Management , self-monitored home security features for smart homes, and Community WiFi have rounded out our robust offering of smart home solutions to offer complete connected communities.
We have expanded our SmartRent team by hiring 99 new employees, increasing our company growth 42% in 2020.
