How Do I Change or Reset an Access Code?

If you decide that you would like to change your front door entry code for any reason, you can do so by following these simple steps below: 

Note: You will NOT be able to add, change, or delete any of your Access Codes if:

  • You don't have access to the mobile version of the SmartRent app
  • If the hub is offline
  • If the lock is offline

How to Change Your Access Code:

1. Tap on Access in the bottom menu of your SmartRent app

2. Tap My Access 

4. Tap the Gear Icon

Once you Reset your code, a new code will be randomly generated for you automatically, and your previous code will be removed from the lock.

If your code fails to reset, your previous code will show when you tap on My Code and you will see a notification saying Update Failed
