How Do I Login to SmartRent?

If you are a resident with the SmartRent system installed in your home, you have two options to log in to your account:

  1. Via our SmartRent mobile app (Preferred)
  2.  Via a web browser by going to and clicking Login in the upper right corner

If SmartRent has not yet been installed in your unit, or if you have not yet been given access to your SmartRent account by your property management team, you will not be able to sign in. You must have the devices installed and been "moved-in" in SmartRent in order to gain access to your new SmartRent account.

At the time you move in, or when your SmartRent installation is complete, you will receive an email with the subject line Welcome to SmartRent prompting you to create a password, download our mobile app and log in to your SmartRent account.


To log in via the mobile app:

  1. Download SmartRent from your phone's app store. This will be the Apple App Store if you have an iPhone device or the Google Play Store if you have an Android device.
    Note: If you do not own a smartphone, you will need to log into your SmartRent account via a web browser (see instructions below).
  2. Open the SmartRent mobile app.
  3. Enter your login email and password.
  4. Tap Sign In.

To log in via web browser:

  1. Go to and click login in the top right corner of the web page.
  2. Enter your login email and password.
  3. Click Sign In.

Note: The web browser version of SmartRent only supports a few basic features

  • controlling your devices remotely
  • executing already created scenes
  • enabling security features like Two Factor Authentication (2FA)
  • viewing your resident code

For access to the full suite of SmartRent features (such as creating new scenes, setting up device schedules, creating guest access codes, resetting your resident code, and much more) you will need to download and use the SmartRent mobile app.
