How to Change Your Password

Your password can be changed both via your app and the resident web portal. 

From your app follow the below steps depending on your device type.

For Android devices

1. Start by logging into your app.

2. Tap on the three stacked lines on the top left of the screen  stacked_lines.PNG.

3. Tap on Settings.

 4. Tap on Profile.

5. Tap on CHANGE PASSWORD. This will lead you to a web page that will prompt you to enter your email, enter the email associated with your account, then tap Send. You will receive an email to your inbox that will prompt you to create a new password. Once you have finished, you can go back into the app and enter your new password.

For iOS devices

1. Start by logging into your app.

2. Tap on More More_Tab_-_iOS.PNGon the bottom right-hand corner of your phone screen.

3. Tap on Settings.

5. Tap on CHANGE PASSWORD. This will lead you to a web page that will prompt you to enter your email, enter the email associated with your account, then tap Send. You will receive an email to your inbox that will prompt you to create a new password. Once you have finished, you can go back into the app and enter your new password.

From Resident Web Portal

1. Start by logging in to your account at control.smartrent.com/login.

2. Click on the drop-down Capture.PNG next to your name and click on Password.

3. Enter your current password, followed by your new password, then confirm your new password and lastly tap Update Password.
