What to Do if Your Access Code is Not Working

If you ever run into a scenario where your code is NOT working on the door, and your app is not successfully unlocking your door, you can request a link with a Backup code, you will find this feature under the Support tab. 

If you do not have your phone on you, you can go to https://control.smartrent.com/lockout from any device that has internet access to get to this web page to request a link with your Backup Code.

For Android Devices:

1. Tap on the three stacked lines on the top left of the screen stacked_lines.PNG

2. Tap Support

3. Tap I'm Locked Out!

4. Enter the mobile phone number that is associated with your SmartRent account and click Get Code

You will receive a link with your Backup code via text message, as well as to the email associated with your account. 

NOTE: The phone number you enter MUST match the phone number associated with your account or you will not receive your link with your Backup code

NOTE: The link to view your Backup code will expire after 30 minutes from when it was requested. You will need to request a new link to view the Backup code again if you did not get a chance to view the code within those 30 minutes.

 

For iOS Devices:

1. Tap More in the bottom right-hand corner of your phone screen More_Tab_-_iOS.PNG
