Here at SmartRent, we’ve had a busy start to 2021. With new product launches, feature releases, awards and trade shows, we’ve been growing at a rapid pace while staying focused on providing the ultimate smart home experience for our clients and their residents.

Exciting New Features

Guest Parking

Guest Parking has now been added to Alloy Parking . Property management not only can create specific guest parking, but receive ancillary income. Within our Community Management Web system, staff has the insight at their finger tips to manage current guest parking activity. Community guests can scan a QR code on designated signs and pay via the app.

We provide two battery operated sensor options for communities to accurately manage parking space occupancy.

  • In-Ground sensors are located underneath the surface of parking spaces. If a community is located where outdoor parking spaces are in cold climates that experience snow and other inclement weather these in-ground sensors are the best option.

  • Surface-Mount sensors sit above the ground on each parking space and if a community is located in warmer climates that rarely experience snow surface-mount sensors are the best option.

Hubless Credentials

In order to support Alloy Access as a standalone solution, we have utilized Community Manager Web, our client dashboard, as the link between Alloy Access and the community’s preferred property management systems. As a result, this feature gives property staff the ability to grant or remove lock credentials within the community and specific units. Additionally, residents in a hubless unit will receive access credentials upon move-in, and automatic revoking of credentials upon move-out.

Salto Locks

Earlier this year, we announced the SmartRent platform supports Salto locks. These types of locks are a comprehensive option that doesn’t require a WIFi connection, however provides a bluetooth, low energy solution. We support two types of Salto locks, the XS4 and the Salto Element Lock .

  • The XS4 electronic lock is wire-free with no hard wiring required, and is designed to fit most standard doors.

  • The Element lock is a smaller RFID lock option that is a wire-free option, allowing for customization of the door handle and is designed to fit most standard doors.

Resident Parking Report

Within our Community Manager Web system teams not only can easily assign parking spaces and allocate guest parking, they have the ability to run our enhanced resident parking report. In one simple report the staff has the capability to see which spaces are assigned to residents, which spaces may have non registered residents and resident parking details.

Integrations

We’ve made upgrades to our integrations that provide significant enhancements to consolidate and organize group level integration management in your community.

With these upgrades, communities will more easily be able to configure unique syncs. We offer a robust set of available integrations , and we are continuously iterating to provide our clients with the ability to sync between Community Manager Web and all of their favorite platforms.

Site staff with the proper permission can access and manage all available integration syncs from the Sync tab, or by clicking ‘syncs’ within the Property Settings in Integrations.
